First media texts I will be using
I have also watched the three Alien films as part of this research study. These provide an interesting talk subject as the main protagonist is a woman, who is portrayed as strong and heroic. This is very dissimilar to the common view of a woman as a 'damsel in distress', or simply as an object representing sex and romance.

Using Google
I found these websites on google relating to my chosen topic of: Women in Action Adventure films. To search for this material I used the following search method. I typed in the search bar: "women in action adventure films".
- http://www.filmreference.com/encyclopedia/Academy-Awards-Crime-Films/Action-and-Adventure-Films-CRITICAL-PERSPECTIVES-NATION-GENDER-AND-RACE.html
Doesn't seem to be much information on the internet for this topic, however I have borrowed a book from the library which contains some useful material.
